Oiwi Film Fest Kicks Off Tomorrow

The Oiwi Film Festival – which features films that explore Native Hawaiian themes of identity, tradition and culture – kicks off tomorrow and runs through November 13.

Let’s Play Music: Slack Key with Cyril Pahinui & Friends screens November 9 and 10.

Attendees will see new shorts and features from established and emerging Hawaiian directors with special guests and filmmakers in attendance throughout the festival. Screenings include opening night film E Haku Inoa: To Weave a Name, as well as Let’s Play Music: Slack Key with Cyril Pahinui & Friends, Little Girl’s War Cry, and a selection of short films.
